I only grow up to 3 metres tall, making me the smallest elephant on Earth. My cousin, the African Elephant, is the largest elephant on earth and can grow a whole metre taller than me. My other cousin, the Indian Elephant, is also bigger than me.
Despite my small size, my appetite is huge. In a typical day, I can polish off 150 kilograms of grass, bamboo, ginger, palm, and other plants. The buffet I enjoy includes more than 180 different kinds of tasty greens. Be sure to finish your veggies at dinner, like me! You can usually spot me travelling through my lowland forest home in Borneo (learn more in this video). Come visit me in the Lower Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary in Sabah, Malaysia or in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
